Hannah Lishman

Dr. Hannah Lishman is a Senior Scientist in Community Antimicrobial Stewardship at BCCDC and Adjunct Professor in UBC SPPH. She oversees the routine surveillance and research outputs of the Community Antimicrobial Stewardship team at BCCDC, and she contributes to knowledge translation outputs for professionals and the public through Antibiotic Wise (previously Do Bugs Need Drugs?). Her work currently focuses on the link between infant antibiotic use and asthma, enhanced urinary tract infection surveillance, antibiotic-associated adverse drug events, audit and feedback implementation and evaluating the cost effectiveness of antimicrobial stewardship programming in the community, among others. She has a keen interest in improving surveillance systems to better serve the needs of the public, as well as communicating AMR messaging to diverse audiences.
